Toray Plastics (America), Inc. invented cross-linked polyolefin foams and leads the industry by setting the standards for quality, consistency, and performance worldwide.

Toray's unique manufacturing process involves cross-linked material exposed at high temperatures to radiant heat while floating on a molten bed of salt. During this process the material fully expands at once with minimal tension. This process allows our foam to be precisely controlled therefore, giving us the ability to run various thickness, density and width combinations.

Our facility is both innovative and well equipped to bring you this unique combination of horizontal support and salt-bath technology producing foam with superior compression, tensile and tear strength, elongation, and thermal stability. As a result, Toray can respond to customers with products that are flexible, lightweight and easy to work with and have a softer feel after molding with no belt or carrier marks. Our supported horizontal foaming allows for the efficient processing of the highest levels of polypropylene found the industry today. These are a few of the many benefits that supports why Toray's manufacturing process is unmatched by any other foam manufacturer in the industry.

With facilities around the world, Toray is dedicated to bring you the latest developments of the world's most versatile and functional polyolefin foams.
