Toray Plastics (America), Inc. PEF Division is proud to earn the ISO 9001 standard. Companies that achieve customer satisfaction by preventing defects at all stages, from design and production through servicing, improving performance and ensuring quality, earn the ISO 9001 standard.

Toray PEF Division also achieved the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification. This certification is given to manufacturers that further enhance their environmental performance. In this program, Toray's main objectives are to maintain regulatory compliance and prevent pollution, reduce, reuse, recycle waste and raw materials and to continually improve in all areas relating to the environment.

In 2005, Toray Plastics (America) PEF Division achieved the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Heath Organization's (OSHA) distinguished recognition as a Star Worksite in Virginia's Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP). Star worksite approval places the PEF division as one of only 32 companies in the state of Virginia to receive this designation. The VPP's goal is to promote effective worksite-based safety and health. In the VPP program, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA's official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health performance.
