Front Royal, VA - July 7, 2006 –Toray Industries, Inc. President, CEO and COO Mr. Sadayuki Sakakibara, presented Mr. Douglas Stanley, Warren County Administrator, with Yoshino Cherry Trees as a symbol of thanks for the continued support of Toray activities and to commemorate our close ties in the past and the future goodwill between Warren County and Toray Industries, Inc.

It is Toray Industries, Inc.’s mission to act as a responsible corporate citizen to build a long lasting, beneficial partnership with the local communities in which they do business. In the Japanese culture, the sweet pink blossoms from a cherry tree symbolize both the recognition of success and a bright future. Along with Yoshino Cherry Trees, English Lavender and Stella d’Ora Daylilies will be planted along the 340/522 North Corridor this fall in hopes to enhance the natural beauty and tradition of Warren County.

Toray Plastics (America), Inc. was honored to host other county and town guests including Tony Carter, Board of Supervisors, James Eastham, Mayor of Front Royal, Mike South, Chairman, Economic Development Authority, Jorie Martin, Deputy Director, Economic Development Authority, and Dan Lenz, Parks and Recreation Director.

Toray Plastics (America), Inc., PEF Division is part of Toray Industries, Inc. which is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Mr. Sakakibara contributed in the initial development and patent of PEF (Polyethylene foams) in the 1960's. He visited the Shenandoah Valley prior to construction of Toray Plastics (America), Inc.’s facility in the mid 1990's. This is his second trip to Front Royal, VA.
